Comparative Analysis Of Physical Properties Of Copper Terminal Block Housing Materials: Low-smoke Halogen-free Materials And Pvc

When used as the casing for copper terminal block PVC, low-smoke halogen-free (LSZH) material produces almost no halogen gases during combustion, resulting in smoke concentrations far lower than PVC.

Due to the addition of flame-retardant fillers and a special formulation, LSZH material is generally more rigid. Its processing and molding require more stringent control over temperature, extrusion conditions, and drying. Improper manufacturing processes can lead to defects such as surface roughness, porosity, and uneven glue distribution.

In contrast, LSZH material is more flexible and smooth. It is easier to bend when assembling or installing copper distribution block PVC, offering greater processing adaptability. Standard production lines have lower requirements for temperature and humidity, and the processing technology is mature and stable.
