Instructions For Using A Cold-press Crimping Tool

Professionals apply various crimping techniques depending on the type of crimp required and the wires or cables involved.

Coaxial cable is a widely used form of insulated wire for signals sensitive to external interference. The shielding that protects the signal requires special crimping to maintain its integrity.

Here is a detailed step-by-step guide on how to use the contact crimper cable:

Use sharp wire cutters to cut the coaxial cable, making the end square but retaining a cylindrical shape.
Insert the coaxial cable into dedicated wire strippers, apply even pressure, and carefully rotate the cable.
Remove the coaxial cable from the stripper and carefully peel off the outer coating, exposing a section of foil from the stripper cut.
Carefully peel off the foil to expose the inner metal mesh, then smoothly bend the metal mesh onto the wire. Be careful not to touch the second layer of foil beneath the mesh.
Insert the coaxial cable into a cylindrical F-type connector, without rotating it during the process. The insulation inside the coaxial cable should be in contact with the front flange of the F-type connector.
Use appropriate coaxial cable crimping pliers to crimp the connection. Apply appropriate pressure, then release.
