Mechanical Parameters Of Heavy-duty Connector Plugs
Contact pressure is a critical parameter for heavy duty waterproof electrical connectors plugs. The contact pressure of heavy duty connector plugs directly affects the contact resistance and contact wear of heavy duty electrical connectors plugs. Directly measuring the contact pressure of heavy duty power connectors plugs is quite difficult in most configurations.
Therefore, the contact pressure of heavy duty connector 24 pin plugs is often indirectly measured using the single-pin separation force. For circular pinhole contact pairs, the ability of the female contact to hold the weight is typically tested using a standard pin with a specified weight. The diameter of the standard pin is typically -5μm below the lower limit of the male contact diameter. The total separation force is generally twice the sum of the upper limits of the single-pin separation forces. When the total separation force exceeds 50N, manual insertion and removal becomes quite difficult. However, for some test equipment or special requirements, zero-insertion-and-removal force 16 pin heavy duty connector plugs and automatic-release 24 pin heavy duty connector plugs are available.
