Optical Performance Of Heavy-duty Connectors
The performance of fiber heavy duty 2 pin connector primarily depends on the optical performance of fiber heavy duty connector 16 pin, and also on the interchangeability, repeatability, tensile strength, temperature resistance, and insertion/removal cycles of fiber heavy duty connector 5 pin.
Optical Performance: For fiber heavy duty connector 6 pin, insertion loss and return loss are the two most fundamental parameters.
Insertion loss, also known as connection loss, refers to the loss of effective optical power in the link due to the introduction of fiber heavy duty electrical contacts. Insertion loss should be as low as possible, generally not exceeding 0.5 dB.
Return loss (reflection loss) refers to the ability of fiber heavy duty industrial connector to suppress the reflection of optical power in the link; its typical value should be no less than 25 dB. In practical fiber heavy duty male female connector, the ferrule surface is specially polished, which can increase the return loss, generally no less than 45 dB.
