Two Different Mounting Methods For Heavy-duty Connectors
The installation of heavy duty automotive electrical connectors is mainly divided into two methods: welding and crimping. Each heavy duty 12v connectors installation method has its own characteristics. Different installation methods can be used for different application conditions.
I. Crimping Installation
When crimping, heavy duty 12 volt connectors is generally installed on equipment with low current. This 12v heavy duty connector method is faster, requires less investment, is more efficient, and can achieve automated production. This heavy duty crimp connectors installation method can be used in high-current products, but it is prone to loss, has low reliability, and requires more auxiliary equipment.
II. Welding Installation
Welding is typically used for high current applications. The principle is to solder the components onto the PCB. With small solder pads, the volume requirement for heavy duty waterproof electrical connectors is much smaller, the manufacturing process is simplified, and the volume of heavy duty connector can be customized according to customer needs. This method features high reliability, high efficiency, and automated production.
