What Are The Classifications Of Heavy-duty Connectors?

heavy duty connector is an accessory product used to achieve electrical connections, applied in the electrical connection of printed circuit boards.  In the heavy duty electrical connectors industry, it is known as heavy duty power connectors or heavy duty connector 24 pin, an accessory product used to achieve electrical connections. Standard PCBs have no components on them and are often referred to as "printed circuit boards"!

If we open a standard computer keyboard, we can see a flexible thin film (flexible insulating substrate) with conductive patterns and key patterns printed on it in silver-white (silver paste). However, the printed circuit boards found in various computer motherboards, graphics cards, network cards, modems, sound cards, and household appliances are different. If a printed circuit board uses one double-sided layer as the inner layer and two single-sided layers as the outer layers, or two double-sided layers as the inner layers and two single-sided layers as the outer layers, and the conductive patterns are interconnected according to the design requirements through a positioning system and insulating bonding materials, it becomes a four-layer or six-layer printed circuit board, also known as a multi-layer printed circuit board. Generally, 4 pin heavy duty connector terminal blocks have pitches of 3.50mm, 3.81mm, 5.00mm, 5.08mm, and 7.62mm.  Common types include pluggable terminal blocks, screw-type terminal blocks, spring-type terminal blocks, and barrier-type terminal blocks.

1. Pluggable 6 pin heavy duty connector

Pluggable connector heavy duty terminal blocks have pitches of 3.50mm, 3.81mm, 5.00mm, 5.08mm, and 7.62mm, with 2-24 positions. They can be matched with sockets with screw fixing for vibration-resistant connections. The plug uses side connection technology, meaning the screw direction is perpendicular to the wire entry direction.

2. Screw-type Terminal Blocks

Screw-type terminal blocks have a more robust structure and design, offering convenient and reliable screw connections; a compact structure, reliable connection, and inherent advantages; utilizing the principle of lifting the clamping body to ensure reliable wiring and large wiring capacity; the solder pins and clamping body are separated into two parts to ensure that the force applied when tightening the screws does not damage the solder joints; the housing is strong and reliable, with various pitches.

3. Spring-type Printed Circuit Board Terminals

Spring-type printed circuit board terminals have pitches of 2.50mm, 3.50mm, 5.00mm, 7.50mm, 7.62mm, etc. Single-core wires can be inserted directly without the need for a handle, but smaller wires can be clamped by opening the clip with a handle; the absence of buttons allows for a significant reduction in height, and wires can be easily removed by simply pressing down with a screwdriver; most spring-type terminals are assembled piece by piece; the wiring method is ideal for use in communication systems, lighting systems, monitoring systems, and building wiring; various wiring directions are available, facilitating assembly in confined spaces, allowing for arbitrary combination of contact points, and offering convenient operation, suitable for high-density wiring requirements. 4. Barrier-Type Terminal Blocks

Barrier-type terminal blocks are designed specifically for power applications and integrate a hinged transparent safety cover. The barriers prevent electrical short circuits between positions on the same terminal block and adjacent components, even with messy or worn wire ends. They enable safe, reliable, and efficient connections, and are particularly widely used in high-current, high-voltage environments.

Barrier-type terminal blocks consist of metal strips and screws or heavy duty 2 pin connector, allowing for wire termination and connection.
