When Inserting A Cold-press Crimping Tool, Check That The Wire Core Is Fully Inserted.
When performing step contact crimper, before inserting the stripped insulation wire into the crimping pin end, first insert the wire core all the way in. During insertion, the bottom of the wire core should be visible contacting the inner wall of the pin. If the wire core is not fully inserted, incomplete conductor contact and high contact resistance may occur after crimping.
After the wire core is in place, confirm through the inspection hole on the pin. If a metallic wire core is visible through the inspection hole, the wire core has reached the bottom. If there is no metallic luster through the inspection hole, it needs to be reinserted until fully inserted.
Next, place the crimping pin end and the fully inserted wire core into step d sub contact crimper for crimping. Select the appropriate clamping jaws according to the pin specifications; only then is the crimping process considered correctly completed.
