Optical Performance, Interchangeability, And Repeatability Of Heavy-duty Connectors
The performance of fiber heavy connector primarily considers optical performance, but also the interchangeability, repeatability, tensile strength, temperature resistance, and insertion/removal cycles of fiber heavy duty cable connectors.
(1) Optical Performance: For the optical performance requirements of fiber heavy power connector, insertion loss and return loss are the two most fundamental parameters.
Insertion loss, or connection loss, refers to the loss of effective optical power in the link due to the introduction of fiber heavy duty wire connectors. Insertion loss should be as low as possible, generally not exceeding 0.5dB.
Return loss (reflection loss) refers to the ability of fiber wire connector heavy duty to suppress the reflection of optical power in the link; its typical value should not be less than 25dB. In practical applications of fiber heavy duty electric cable connectors, the ferrule surface is specially polished, which can increase the return loss, generally not less than 45dB.
(2) Interchangeability and Repeatability
Fiber heavy duty automotive electrical connectors is a general-purpose passive device. For the same type of fiber heavy duty 12v connectors, it can be used in any combination and can be reused. The additional loss it introduces is generally within the range of 0.2dB.
